Waverley Office

Jeff Gillespie, B. Comm (Hons.), REBC, RHU
President

Jeff graduated in 1998 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.). He began his career in the financial services industry with the Great-West Life Assurance Company in 1998, and worked with the company for 10 years – assuming the role of Regional Employee Benefits Manager in the Nova Scotia Resource Centre in 2002.

In 2008, he founded Mathica Benefits Consulting, later growing the firm by acquiring R&D Benefits Inc in 2010.

Kendra Coady
Client Relationship Manager

Kendra has an extensive background in sales and client management having worked in the radio advertising industry for almost two decades. When she is not developing business and furthering client relationships, you will likely find her on the golf course or planning her next travel adventure.

Client/Administrative Services

Tammy began in the financial services industry in 2003. Since 2004, her main focus has been on client services for group benefits and office administration. Her client comes first approach has earned the trust and loyalty of many clients over the years.

Vince MacGillivary
Financial Advisor

Vince began his career in the financial services industry after joining London Life in 2002. In 2005, Vince assumed the roles of Director of Business Development and Branch Manager of the Cape Breton Financial Centre. In 2010, he joined with business partner, Mackie MacLeod, in establishing MacLeod MacGillivary Financial Management Inc.

Graduating in 1994 from the University College of Cape Breton (now Cape Breton University) with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Vince was active in the university community by volunteering with numerous student and faculty boards and committees. Vince has also been an executive member of the Cape Breton chapter of Advocis, the professional association of financial advisors.

Mackie MacLeod
Financial Advisor

Mackie graduated in 1996 from Babson College in Wellesley Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He began his career in the financial services industry with London Life Insurance Company in 2000, and worked with the company for eight years – assuming the role of Director of Advisor Development in the Cape Breton Financial Centre in 2003.

In 2010, he joined with his business partner, Vince MacGillivary, in establishing MacLeod MacGillivary Financial Management Inc.

Deanne Hammond
Marketing Associate

Deanne is a Marketing Associate with the MacLeod MacGillivary Financial Management Inc. office in Sydney. She joined the team in May 2008 working with Vince MacGillivary and Mackie MacLeod.

Deanne attended Cape Breton University from 1996-2000, during which time she obtained a Business Technology Diploma. She returned to Cape Breton in 2007 after spending several years in Halifax and Bermuda.
